First, thanks for all the emails I've gotten.  Anything that's been sent to me personally or posted on the developer forums has been forwarded to our staff, and they are taking care of account issues.  I've been sick since the 1st of the year with a cold, so I've not been as active as I'd like in getting you updates.

Our staff has all returned, and we're processing emails from you on a daily basis.

The big issues are:

  • Everyone had their password reset, but we didn't communicate that effectively.  The reset was needed as part of moving to the new system, as we had stored passwords in a hashed format, and the hash values couldn't be moved to the new database.
  • Creator IDs were not always assigned to the accounts correctly.  This was an artifact of how we'd linked records together in the old system, and it is being addressed.
  • People are not receiving their "reset" emails with their new passwords.  We don't yet know the cause of this problem, but we are investigating.
  • Some files are reported as missing.  Again, we are investigating this.

If you have problems with your account, with downloads, or with creator IDs, please use the webmaster address at http://www.palmsource.com/contact/.  That will ensure that it gets to the right people.  Sending issues to me or posting on the forums isn't as effective, as I'm just forwarding those mails to the same people on an irregular basis.
