Back in May, PalmSource started promoting an online interface to the Palm OS developer forums. This is a web-based method of reading and searching the mailing lists hosted by PalmSource. You also can manage your subscriptions through this method, but the Lyris server organizes accounts by both email address and password, so if you've used multiple passwords, you'll have to login with each one to see all of your subscriptions.
This interface can be a little slow, but it's very complete and you don't have to suffer through popup ads or click-throughs. We don't have a lot of control over the interface, since it's based on Lyris' standard mailing list package, but it looks like we will be able to support RSS feeds of the developer forums in the near future, when the mailing list software is updated to the latest version.
The interface also gives us an easy way to refer to older messages. For example, to point to the reply I made recently about where to get the StdIO implementation files that are missing in SDK 5, you can say http://news.palmos.com/read/messages?id=170790#170790, and it will bring up the whole thread, scrolling to the specific message with my reply.
