Combee on Palm OS

Once again, Hazleware publishes an excellent article, this time about all the various "unique" identifiers that are available on different Palm OS devices.  One of the most commonly asked questions by new Palm OS developers, especially shareware programmers, is how to lock an application to a specific device  This isn't always possible, but Jon lists every known way to uniquely identify a device for those devices that are identifiable.

By the way, I've been meaning to link to this article for a few weeks, but all my spare time has been occupied with South by Southwest.  The good news is that I'm going to be writing up the SXSW 2005 Palm OS schedule post-mortem soon, with lots of practical advice on how we make this program really take advantage of the Treo 600 and Treo 650 smartphones, and what we're thinking of doing for next year to make it even better.
